A wealth of information about our neighbors to the north, this resource unit will supplment your students' textbook or help you create your own Canada curriculum. Through active learning experiences, your students will sample the rich diversity of Canada's people and cultures, glimpse the vastness of Canada's lands and waters, and get an idea of the variety of its resources, wildlife and history. A large section of the unit is devoted to The Land of Canada. Sport in Canada traces how class, race, and gender determined who played what, when, and how, and presents a vivid account of the forces that shaped sport, some of the individuals who figured prominently, and the broader social context in which various organized sports developed.
